The story of ◦ ◦ ☆
"Chauncey barely tapped into the massive potential that we had just below the surface and we let go of a huge opportunity. Having said that, we made a bunch of great friends, inspired people with what we created, are proud of the music we've made, and still look forward to seeing each other. I guess we didn't fuck it up that badly." - Shawn Marquis (2007, Boston Music Spotlight)
Working from a foundation rich with shared experience with Chauncey- releasing two albums, tours with Midnight Oil and Guster, recording with Steve Albini, ◦ ◦ ☆ members Jon Bistline (Session Americana), Eliot Hunt (Forest Fires), and Shawn Marquis (The Church of Flying Dreams) have built a new creative home.
With help onstage from a variety of bands, including friends from The Everyday Visuals, the group will release their debut album in the Spring of 2010 and pursue their interest in exploring different ways in which audience and artist can enjoy music together.
Some love from the Noise

From SILVER CIRCLES REVIEWS June 10 --
"I enjoyed listening to this record quite a bit. It’s full of spacey rock with a hearty helping of synth. The arrangements are all well thought out and work nicely. The band has an original sound that seems tough to pull off in this genre. The production is excellent, The Beach Boy-esque harmonies are a delight and made up for the sometime buried vocal. “Safe In the Middle of Nowhere” is a great opening track with a nice slow build—again excellent arrangement, Track four “Beautiful Memories Bleed” sounds like a different singer and works equally as well. There is a lot of talent in this band. Giant massive guitar lines throughout, I am going to listen to this one again."

Back to the salt mines...

We would like to formally apologize for pulling a Lauren Hill on all of you. Releasing a record and landing a guest spot in a big-budget hollywood movie was a lot to process in 2010. So, understandably, we needed a little "me time" after all of that. But fear not - rumors of our demise are greatly exaggerated.
2011 finds us back at work on our next release - an EP for our intrepid drummer Shawn under his solo moniker "afriendinouterspace" (which promises to be pretty freaking awesome, if we do say so ourselves). As usual, progress is a little slower than we'd like, but progress it is nonetheless. Expect a few songs later on in the summer.
Be good. ◦ ◦ ☆
